While having a greater reach is favourable, sometimes you might wish to publish an opportunity only for a certain group of students. SiROP allows you to set the visibility of a project accordingly.

Set visibility settings

As students log in with their universtiy accounts, the visibility settings can determine who will have access to certain projects and who won't.

While creating your opportunity, you have the possibility to set the visibility for your project and thus which students will have access and therefore see its actual content.
These settings apply for all searches: Text search, open positions and keyword search.

If you already published your opportunity and wish to change the settings, you can change them here:

While creating your opportunity you will eventually get to the visibility settings, which offer three options:

  1. Anyone

The project is published publicly on the SiROP website. It can be found without a previous login. Everyone who uses the project search function can access your project. Therefore it also gets indexed by search engines such as Google.
  2. Only affiliates from any organization

The students must login with an official email address of their institution (university) to see the opportunity. Not logged in visitors nor unofficial students (used email address eg. gmail) can see your project. In addition no search engine will display it neither.

  3. Only affiliates of one of the selected applicant organizations

The project details won't be visible to anyone except those affiliated with one of the selected "applicant organizations".

    Applicant Organizations:

Define from which organizations students are allowed to apply.
If students have access to the opportunity, they will be able to apply via SiROP per default!
If you set your preferred organizations, the apply button will be hidden for anyone not affiliated with the required organizations.

Note:

If you change your visibility settings and are using a feed on your organizations website, this can also change the projects visibility on your feed!
If so: please contact us and we will help you!
