Publish a new opportunity
You are a PhD, professor, researcher or associated with an institutional organization and you wish to publish your first project. Below you can find a quick introduction how to publish a new project. SiROP offers a vast number of customizations and settings you can choose during the publishing process. This guide wont go too much into detail and only show how to quickly publish a new opportunity. For more advanced settings please read the other guides.
New opportunity
Note: To publish a new opportunity you need to be logged in and affiliated.Step 1: Create new opportunity
- To start click "create new opportunity", if it does not appear on the start page after login in, you can find it in the menu bar on the left site.
Choose the responsible organization from the suggested organizations.
Step 2: Choose host
- Choose the person responsible for the project. You can choose among all publishers of the selected organization. Choose yourself or someone else as the responsible host.
Step 3: Fill out the Form
- Fill out the form to create a new opportunity. Choose a title, enter descriptions and goals for your Opportunity. It is possible to add pictures and PDFs.
Title, abstract and main picture are shown in the feeds and are the first thing students will see.
TIPP: Keep it short and choose a picture representing either your work or your lab.Step 4: Finalize your opportunity
- Tag your opportunity with multiple scientific keywords. Label the opportunity accordingly (master or bachelor thesis ect.) and select a start and an end date and set the visibility of the opportunity.
Those keywords will define how easy it is to find your opportunity, and the visibility settings control who can see it!!Step 5: Confirmation
- Check the final review with all informations for errors and typos. In case of a collaboration: It is now possible to add additional hosts of any organization.
If you are satisfied with your opportunity, click publish. You then have to choose the publication duration. Once published or saved as draft, you can access it under "my opportunities"
