Account creation and affiliation


To start with SiROP you first have to create an account.
This step is needed in order to publish any project on SiROP!!!!!
If you only wish to brows through the open opportunities a registration is not needed but recommended as some open projects are only visible for signed in users and to submit your application through SiROP an account is required.


Sign in either via the university login (SSO) or register via the provided form.


Affiliation


The affiliation is needed to identify you as a member of a certain university, department, institute or laboratory.
Some projects are exclusive for member of a certain institution or department, if you are not affiliated or not part of the required institute you might not be able to see all open positions. 


Further an affiliation as a publisher of a certain organization gives you the permission to publish projects.


Step 1: Create new affiliation

  • Once signed - in, select create new affiliation from the menu on the left side



Step 2: Select affiliation role

  • To publish, select Opportunity Publisher in the drop down menu.



Step 3: Choose your organization

  • Use the search function or the tree structure to find your University. As a Publisher - choose your group/lab/chair --> eg. search for "health science" or "snedeker".
    If your organization does not appear: please contact our support.

Step 4: Verification

  • If you did not log in with your university account - enter your email address with the domain of your institution (eg. @ethz.ch). Confirm the verification email. Now all you have to do is wait for the approval of SiROP.
    If your email domain is missing please contact our support.


If you completed these steps you are now successfully registered and affiliated you are now all set to either search and apply for an opportunitiy or if you are a publisher to publish a new project.
